An 8-week introduction to swimming course for children who can touch in the shallow end comfortably (1m). This course is divided in 5 distinct level with the intent to help children learn to swim. These courses are taught by qualified swimming instructor looking to give their knowledge and skill to help and improve your child swimming skills.  

This Swimming course will focus more on and not limited to:

  • Water Safety

  • Swimming Stokes

  • Personal success

  • Swimming activities

This Survey is completely anonymous, a google account is require to answer since the survey is limited to one per person

Swimming Level Criteria

1. 

 

***NOTE***

These are some of the general guideline to pass the levels there are more criteria evaluated by the instructors. Most skilled most be completed 3 time successfully by the teacher criteria.

  • Must be able to touch in the shallow end.

  • Distance Swim 5m

  • Water Safety

  • Submerge Head

  • Rhythmic Breathing 5 Times

  • Front and Back Float with Recovery 3sec

  • Front and Back Glide 3sec

  • Front and Back glide with Kick 5m

Level 1 Passing Criteria

  • Distance Swim 10m

  • Water Safety

  • Weight Transfer in Shallow Water (hockey pucks)

  • Rhythmic Breathing 10 Times (2 ways)

  • Front Glide with Kick 10m

  • Back Glide with Kick 5m

  • Side Glide with Kick 5m

Level 2 Passing Criteria

  • Distance Swim 15m

  • Water Safety

  • Deep Water Float 5sec

  • Rhythmic Breathing 15 times

  • Front Glide with Kick 15m

  • Back Glide with Kick 10m

  • Side Glide with Kick 10m

Level 3 Passing Criteria 

4. 

 
  • Distance Swim 25m

  • Water Safety

  • Kick on Back 15m

  • Intro to Sculling

  • Kneeling Dive

  • Treading Water 45sec

  • Rhythmic Breathing 15 Times

  • Front/ Side Glide Combination

  • Back swim with Shoulder Roll 15m

  • Front Crawl 10m

Level 4 Passing Criteria 

5. 

 
  • Distance Swim 50m

  • Water Safety

  • Tread Water 1min

  • Stride Dive

  • Rhythmic Breathing 20 times (2ways)

  • Front Crawl 15m

  • Back Crawl 15m

  • Whip Kick on Back 10m
