
Safety Guidelines to be followed
In order to have a safe return at the pool, as of July 1st 2020, there will be some changes that will be made in order to respect social distancing. These will be added to the previous facility rules. All patrons booking to use our facilities must commit to follow these guidelines.

General guidelines (For all pool activities)

Everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask when entering the building until they enter the water

Must be booked and payed online (non-refundable)
-
No access to locker room prior to booked time (come ready to swim)
-
Follow arrows and assigned spots on deck and in the locker rooms
-
No use of pool equipment/toys
-
We are not responsible for any broken/missing things brought from home.

Maximum 4 people in the hot tub at a time
-
Must maintain social distancing of 2 meters
-
Must follow any guidelines from all staff members
-
Anyone not following the guidelines set by the staff will be told to leave without a refund. (Future bookings may be affected)

Public swimming
-
Maximum of 15 people for each 50 minute interval
-
All children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult to help them maintain social distancing.

All children under the age of 7 must have a payed adult present with them in the water
-
Anyone not following the guidelines set by the staff will be told to leave without a refund. (Future bookings may be affected)

Lap swimming
-
Maximum of 15 people for each 50 minute interval (1 hour and 20 minutes for early bird)
-
Must follow specific direction set by the lifeguard to swim
-
No access to pool deck or locker room prior to booking time
​
Water aerobics
-
Maximum of 15 people for each 50 minute interval
-
No access to the pool deck or the hot tub before or after booked 50 minutes.

Must adhere to the 4 people in the hot tub rule
-
Anyone not following the guidelines set by the staff will be told to leave without a refund. (Future bookings may be affected)

Swimming Lessons​

Only one adult may be present with the child
-
No refund for any swimming lessons
-
Must bring the child's swimming equipment (provided on the first day) to and from the pool for every class
-
The adult present with the child will need to assist only when directed by the teacher.

You will be required to buy and bring your own noodle (Sea otter, salamander, sunfish, crocodile, whale, level 1, level 2, level 3) and your own flutter board (level 3 and up) for every class. [available for $5 at the Aquatic Center]

Preschool classes (Can not walk properly on the bottom of the shallow end)

One adult per child MUST be in the water with the child to do any hands-on work.

Classes may be given in the middle end to maintain social distancing. (Specified in the class information when registering)
-
You must bring their own floaties (Parents and tots and Sea otter) Not required for Salamander, Sunfish, Crocodile and Whale.
-
We suggest you to bring one of 2 water safe toys for your child.

25 minute classes

Level 1 and Level 2 (Can walk properly on the bottom of the shallow end/Passed level 1)

One adult MUST be in the water with the child to do any hands-on work.

The teacher will be the one instructing your child. The supporting adult will be present to do any assistance asked by the teacher only (no backseat teaching). They (the supporting adult) may have a lesser or a bigger role depending on what the teacher judges is best for the child's development.

The supporting adult's main role will be to make sure their child follows social distancing rules.

The child will be evaluated by themselves with the same criterias set by the program. No modification will be brought to the evaluations. It is important that you let your child learn from their mistakes.

50 minute classes

Level 3 and up
-
One adult MUST be on assigned seating bench on the side of the pool to help do any hands-on work needed for the child under the teacher's direction unless told otherwise by the supervisor.

No coaching the child from the bench. The teacher will be the only one instructing your child. If you want to teach your child, come to public swim.

If you are interfering in any way with the teacher's job (criticizing your child's techniques, interfering during a class without the teacher's request, etc.), you will be asked to sit in the bleachers and your child will miss out of any hands-on they might need to progress. (No refunds). The supporting adult will not be there to teach your child. They will be there to support only when asked by the teacher.
